Whenever you face internet connection problems, the first thing you must try to restart network devices includes your PC. That fixes if any temporary glitch was causing the problem.
Temporarily disable third-party Antivirus and disconnect VPN (if installed), Disconnect and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.
Also, perform Windows Clean boot that fixes the problem if any third-party app service conflict was causing No internet access.
Check DHCP client service is Running
If DHCP client service is not running your NIC (Network Interface Card) unable to get a valid IP address from the DHCP server. Check and make sure the DHCP service is running to Assign or get a valid IP address to your computer.
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc and ok
- Scroll down and locate DHCP clients service, check its running
- If it’s running, Right-click and select Restart.
- If not started Right click and select start.
- Also, make sure its set to automatic startup.
- You can do this by right click -> properties -> change the startup type to automatic.

Reset Network Adapter & TCP/IP
Launch Command Prompt as an Administrator. To do this, you need type in “cmd” in the search bar (to the right of the start menu). Now, right-click on Command Prompt and select to run it as Administrator. Now type in the following commands and press enter key each:
netsh Winsock reset – This will reset the network adapter
Next type netsh int IP reset – To reset TCP/IP
Note: If you are getting Resetting failed, Access is denied as shown image. We need to Taking ownership and permission of the key to be able to successfully.
- Press Windows + R, type Regedit, and ok to open the windows registry editor.
- Backup registry database then, navigate to the following key.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Nsi\{eb004a00-9b1a-11d4-9123-0050047759bc}\26
- Here Now right-click on 26 key and select Permissions option.
- When you click on permission, this will open a new window.
- Select Everyone from the usernames list, and check enable “Allow” checkbox given for “Full Control” permission.
- Click on apply and ok to make save changes.
Again type netsh int IP reset command to reset the TCP/IP protocol without any deny error. Next Type ipconfig /flushdns and press the enter key to clear DNS cache.
Restart Windows to take effect the changes, Now check internet connection connected Successfully.
Reconfigure Networking connection setting
Still having the problem, let’s reconfigure network connection settings. to do this again Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run the following highlighted commands one by one:
- ipconfig /release – release the current IP address
- ipconfig /renew – renew the IP address/ Request DHCP for net IP address
- ipconfig /flushdns – flush the DNS cache on your Windows PC
- ipconfig /registerdns – register the DNS

Assign IP Address Manually
Here another effective solution that may fix the problem. DHCP fails to automatically assign a valid IP But you can add a valid IP address by your self to fix the problem.
- Press Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl and ok
- Here on the Network connection window, Right click on the Wi-Fi adapter select properties
- Double click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
- Now Assign IP Address and gateway address.
- Also on Preferred DNS Type 8.8.8.8 and on Alternet DNS Address type 8.8.4.4
Note: Gateway address is your Router IP address. And Ip address should be on your Router IP address range. For example: If your Router IP address is 192.168.0.1, then type the IP address 192.168.0.xx. Click tab key this will assign the subnet mask automatically. On gateway address, type your router IP address.
That’s all Now click ok to save changes And check your problem solved network connected.
Reinstall your Network Adapter Driver
And the ultimate solution, Update or reinstall the Wi-Fi adapter driver that fix most of the Network and Internet connection problems on windows 10, 8.1, and 7.
- Press Windows + R, type devmgmt.msc and ok.
- This will open the device manager, display all installed driver list.
- Click on Network Adapters to expand the entry.
- This will list all the network adapters that were installed on your computer.
- From the expanded list, right-click on the Network Adapter for your computer and click on Uninstall.
- You will see a popup warning saying, “You are about to uninstall this device from your computer” click on ok to Uninstall.
- Restart your computer Windows should automatically reinstall the right Driver for the Network Adapter.
- Or you can download the latest available network adapter driver from the manufacturer website install it and check.
