The cloud download option will reinstall the same build, version, and edition, that is currently installed on your device. This new cloud download option is available to all Windows 10 devices and is different from the “Recover from the cloud” feature available on some earlier Windows 10 devices.

Note: This feature currently available for Windows 10 20H1 preview builds only, Which set release upcoming April 2020.

Step 1. Foremost, you have to open Settings on your Windows 10 computer and click on the Update & Security. Under this, head you will locate an option named Recovery and here just press on start.

Step 2. Once you have started the recovery process, then you will be awarded two options – keep on my files or remove everything option. However, now you will see one new option hereafter the introduction of a cloud recovery feature called ‘Cloud Download’. It will pop up next to the Local reinstall. So, when you click over the cloud download option, then Windows 10 will automatically connect with the Windows Update server using your high-speed internet connection and start the process of the fresh download.

Once all these functions are performed by the Windows 10 operating system in the background, then the download process will finally begin and your computer will automatically reboot to enter the Recovery screen.

Here, you need to note down one more fact that Windows 10 Cloud Recovery will even work when Windows 10 fails to boot itself. You will be able to trigger the cloud recovery in the recovery screen also which is highly useful if you are not able to login to Windows 10 Desktop and open Settings.
