Microsoft today released a new cumulative update KB4338548 to users running Windows 10 version 1803 “April 2018 Update”. This is the third patch for Windows 10 April 2018 Update, which bumps the build no to windows 10 build 17134.83, and according to the company, this is a minor release that addresses a specific problem with the 2018 and 2017 versions of QuickBooks.

Microsoft has announced KB4338548 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “June 5, 2018—KB4338548 (OS Build 17134.83)”. Here are more specific details:

This update addresses an issue where the 2017 and 2018 versions of Intuit QuickBooks Desktop can’t run in multi-user mode on Windows 10, version 1803 devices. The QuickBooks multi-user mode service fails to start with error “Windows could not start the QuickBooksDBXX service on Local Computer.” and “Error 193: 0xc1”.
