With Windows 10 Insider preview Build 17666 (RS5), Microsoft Added the much awaited cloud-powered clipboard feature ( was demoed during Build 2017 keynote). The new clipboard experience in Windows 10 is powered by Microsoft’s cloud technology which means that you can access your clipboard across any PC. Which will be really helpful when you often paste the same content multiple times a day, or want to paste across devices.
“The new feature can be enabled from the Settings > System > Clipboard. The clipboard history is synced across devices and it uses the power of the cloud. “Not only can you can paste from the clipboard history, but you can also pin the items you find yourself using all the time,”
” Cloud Clipboard will allow users to sync their Clipboard data across their phones and PCs. It would be able to sync text, pictures, links, videos, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Spreadsheets and also PDFs.”
This is the biggest addition in Windows 10 that will let Windows 10 users share their clipboard contents across devices, and presumably eventually to Android and iOS devices. To access this new Clipboard interface simply press WIN+V and you’ll be present brand-new clipboard experience!”Also You can manage the new clipboard by heading to Settings > System > Clipboard.
You can access the recent clipboard contents from the clipboard history. And you also have the option to pin the items which want to have access all the time. Like Timeline, you access your clipboard across any PC with this build of Windows or higher. Microsoft also mentioned that roamed text on the clipboard is only supported for clipboard content less than 100kb. And the clipboard history supports plain text, HTML and image less than 1MB.
